Time: 12:30-1:15pm
Where: Ethics and Social Science Building third floor - (ES) 305
There will be food and refreshments!
During the meeting we'll give a brief overview of our club, discuss upcoming volunteer events and field trips, and hold an open call for club officer positions. Our most needed positions are listed below. Our club is run by and for students, so we can't do it without your help! Please consider stepping up to help our club have a fun and successful Spring semester!
We are currently in need of several key positions in our club, including but not limited to:
Quad event coordinator
Responsibilities: Reserve a club table for on-campus quad events that occur regularly throughout the semester (usually around lunchtime on certain Wednesdays). Recruit club members to attend quad events and volunteer at the table. Decorate club table with event 'theme'. Distribute club flyers at quad events to promote the club.
Social Media coordinator
Responsibilities: Update club blog, event calendar, and Facebook page with timely information about meetings and activities. Post photos of club events online. Communicate with students and organizations via the blog and FB page.
SGA representative(s) - can be multiple people
Responsibilities: Attend weekly Student Government Association meetings (held on Monday afternoons) as our club representative. Ensure our club continues to meet the requirements to stay in good standing with the SGA. When needed, petition the SGA for funds for club activities (such as field trips). Keep other club officers and faculty advisors informed of SGA events and funding budget.
From this date on, our meetings will be every other Thursday for the rest of the semester. If you're unable to make it to the meeting in person, don't worry! We'll send regular updates of events via email and you can still participate in a variety of volunteer activities and field trips on other days throughout the year.
