Below is a list of events we have going on this semester to get you started with the club. Members are required to participate in volunteer activities throughout the semester and those activities will be talked about at the Member meetings.

SAC Research Meeting
When: Every Thursday starting August 29
Time: 12:15pm~2:00pm
Location: Clearwater Campus, NM 161
Join us as we introduce the various research projects that are ongoing and start getting involved. If you have an interest in your own project(s), we can help you get funding. If you have questions about the research contact our Research Coordinator, Cory Trier, at (260) 610-1028.
Club Rush - 60's Theme
When: Wednesday, September 4th
Time: 12:00pm-1:30pm

SAC members are needed to assist with club promotion and member signups. Send us an email or let us know at the next SAC Member meeting if you will assist.
(SGA will focus on a particular politician that was popular in the 60s; probably JFK). And, as usual, there will be food, music, giveaways, even a dance line.
SAC Rappelling Trip

Karst Research hosts a workshop to introduce students to dry cave exploration and rope climbing.
SAC Solar Farm Trip
When: Friday, November 1st
Time: 9am-5pm

The Engineering Club and Science Adventurers are pleased to offer a trip to Florida Power & Light's DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center located in Arcadia, FL. Students will receive a presentation about solar technology and gain information about the power plant. Students get to view the technology being used from an observation deck.
SAC Peace River Camping & Kayaking Trip
When: Friday-Sunday, November 15-17th
Time: All Day
Location: Peace River, Bowling Green to Wachula or Zolfo Springs

Science Adventurers Club is pleased to offer another experience to learn about some of the natural processes at work in Florida via a canoe trip on the Peace River. In addition to a generally enjoyable excursion into a relatively pristine section of Florida, we will be able to explore stream behavior, collect fossils, and study the subtropical environment. All students are eligible for this trip. Sign up is first come first served basis with Club Advisor, Mike Stumpe 791-2534.
