Fall 2011 - Beach & Reef Cleanup
Beach Cleanup: Turn out of 13 volunteers over 30 bags of trash and recyclables collected.
Dive Cleanup: Over 175 divers were able to remove over 1,500 lbs of rope and garbage from the Clearwater Artificial Reef! That is astonishing and the most we have done on a single clean-up.

"My experience at the beach cleanup was great! I love knowing that I'm doing something that will help the environment. It's where we live, we have to keep it clean if we want it to stay that way. I always try to help when I can!" - B.Stover
The cleanup had a fairly good turnout. I was amazed at how many cigarette butts were littering the beach. Overall the cleanup was successful, and with a couple of combined efforts with the SAC and other clubs on the campus I believe that we can really make a difference in the appearance of the the beach. - B.Vander Weit
